The day I started my frustrating but rewarding journey of understanding the art of resin medium. I have the TikTok community to thank for this, so many inspiring creatives all on one platform gave me the confidence to branch out of my comfort zone. Even though they make it look so easy compared to the learning experience that I definitely had to navigate through. On this day I drove down to the local Michaels Craft store and grabbed the first beginner’s artisan resin kit I saw! On the way home I was giggling like a child from excitement, got home set up in my room read the directions a few times over and got to work! 24 hours later the coasters were ready to demold… or so I thought. From that point on it was a lot of trails and failures but I kept pushing till I got it down pat! The need to challenge myself grow from there and the idea expanded to tumbler cups. I went from creating one glitter cup to hand painting four more. The funny thing is “Elevated Collections” originally was going to be all hand painted tumblers, but business plans had to shift due to the fact that it would be very difficult to maintain while having a full-time job. So instead, my new business model gives me the flexibility and to craft pieces faster and allows me to have the freedom to release limited edition pieces (hopefully) every 6 to 8 months. I was asked today what my company name meant to me? The word “Elevated” is personal to me because each time I work on a project I’m learning how to make the next one even better. The word “Collections” has two branches one is the definition of what the business is founded on, each piece I make is made in a group of others together they are a collection. The second half is the limited collectibles that are unique art pieces. Overall, I’m very excited to share this experience with you all and hope that you’ll tag along for the ride!
